Apparently, the only thing lower than Bush’s approval rating is Congress’s approval rating.
Very true. Congress lost 10 points in the polls when they caved to Bush on Iraq spending recently. Still, what I’d like to see is a comparison of their approval ratings relative to historical averages. Presidents enjoy a wide fluctuation of approval ratings while people tend to not like Congress all that much regardless. (And you thought I stopped paying attention since I moved to New Zealand! Ha!)
Congress certainly failed in the first week when it tried to override free speech (aka S.1).
