iConquer and Defcon

Two games have made it through my protective bubble in the last 24 hours: iConquer and Defcon.

iConquer is an extremely pretty and spiffy Risk clone (I believe; I’ve only played Risk once). Defcon is a very pretty implementation of that game “Global Thermonuclear War” which you might remember from that movie.

I don’t know what the deal is, but this is the second or third time in a month that your RSS feed has posted a ton of your blog comments (from the most recent up to and including the “Version Control Multiplexor”) all at once onto my LJ friendslist. You might want to check it.

I’ve just read the XML and run it through a couple of validations. The only problem with the RSS feed is that it doesn’t include my email address and apparently it is supposed to. The XML is just fine. The Atom feed is working better but made a warning about two items updated at the same time.

I remember looking at the feed on LJ last night and wondering why it only had three items. Not sure what the deal is on this. I am subscribed to my feed the same way LJ is with my news reader and it never gives me any trouble. So I think either LJ’s feed aggregator is really glitchy or my feed is invalid in some incredibly minor hard-to-detect way that isn’t upsetting any of the other users of this blog software. Either way there isn’t anything I can do about it right now.

The LJ reader is busted. That’s nothing new.
